How much does it cost to fit a B&Q kitchen in Northern Ireland?

Prices checked October 2026 · Written by Darren Kearney, master joiner, Northern Ireland · How we price

Fitting a medium B&Q kitchen (about 14 units) in Northern Ireland costs from about £2,700 for the fitter, plumber and electrician. Many B&Q units are flat-pack, so ask your fitter whether assembling them is included or charged on top.

Fitting cost by kitchen size

Fitting only (you've already bought the kitchen). Includes the fitter, sink plumbing and the electrician's cooker circuit. Rounded to the nearest £100.
KitchenUnitsOven, hob & hood+ integrated fridge, freezer, dishwasher
Small 3 × 2.5 mabout 10£2,100£2,200
Medium 4.2 × 3 mabout 14£2,700£2,800
Large 5.5 × 4 mabout 18£3,300£3,400

Flat-pack units need building before they can be fitted. Some fitters include it, others add a charge per unit. Ask for it to be shown separately on the quote.

What makes up the price

Not included: taking out the old kitchen, plastering, tiling, flooring, moving gas or drainage, and decorating. The full kitchen renovation guide covers those.

Questions people ask

Does B&Q fit kitchens in Northern Ireland?

B&Q offers an installation service in some areas, priced separately. Many people use a local fitter instead. Get a written quote either way.

Is flat-pack harder to fit?

It takes longer, because each unit has to be built first, and the fitter has to check it is square. The fitting itself is the same.

Can I save money by building the units myself?

Yes. If you build the flat-pack units before the fitter arrives, you only pay for fitting. Build them in the room they are going into, and keep the fixings for each unit together.
