Privacy notice
RenoLab is run by [legal business name], [address], Northern Ireland ("we"). We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, registration number [ICO number]. Contact us at [contact email] about anything in this notice.
What we collect
- When you price a room: the room size, the work you choose, your finish level and any photos you add. You don't need to give us any personal details to get a price.
- When you ask for quotes: your name, phone number and/or email, town and county, plus your job details.
- When you ask for your shopping list by email: your email address, and whether you'd like occasional tips from us.
- Businesses who join: business name, contact name, email, phone, the work they do and the areas they cover.
How we use it
- To work out your estimate. Photos are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) only to read the room and suggest the work. We don't keep your photos after that.
- When you ask for quotes and tick the box to agree, we send your contact details and job details to up to [5] approved local businesses that do that kind of work in your county. They use them only to contact you about this job.
- To email you your shopping list, and, if you said yes, occasional tips. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To ask, about 30 days later, whether you went ahead. This helps us keep prices accurate and check that businesses are treating customers well.
Our legal basis
Sharing your details with businesses is based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by emailing us. Working out your estimate and following up is based on our legitimate interest in running the service. Tips by email are based on your consent.
Who else handles your data
We use trusted providers to run the site: Netlify (hosting), Supabase (database), Resend (email) and Anthropic (photo reading). They only process data on our instructions.
How long we keep it
Job requests are kept for [2 years] so we can deal with any questions or disputes, then deleted. Shopping list emails are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to how we use it, by emailing [contact email]. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
