Per-m² figures are a rough guide. A small bathroom costs far more per m² than a large one because the suite, plumbing and tiling cost much the same either way. For a real figure, price your own room.

Questions people ask

Why is a bathroom so expensive per m²?

Most of the cost is the suite, the plumbing and the tiling, which hardly change with room size. Spread over a small floor, that makes the cost per m² high.

Does this include an extension?

No. These figures are for renovating an existing room. Extensions include foundations, walls and a roof and cost far more per m².
